Hills fault finding

How to STOP & FIX your HILLS beeping security system

Hills code pads emit a beeping sound because this indicates that the security system now requires a general service. The system is trying to tell you there is a fault issue that requires attention. If the mains AC power transformer is unplugged or the main back-up battery is disconnected or faulty the code pad red power light will now start flashing. If this is happening to you then the system may start beeping when you "ARM" or "DISARM" the DAS HILLS alarm system.

Hills alarm beeping mostly indicates a low battery, then you need to replace the battery for a new one.

Wireless devices with a flat battery in a security device module, expander trouble can make a beeping keypad which will require battery replacement.

Smoke and Fire Detector Batteries

A battery-operated smoke detector with a flat battery also emits a single "chirp" sound once every 30 seconds, alerting users that the smoke detector battery is very weak.
